Yvonne became a dental assistant in 1991. She has been with Dr. Casas for 14 years. Her certifications include Coronal Polishing, Radiology and CPR. Yvonne can keep a conversation going and will make sure you are taken care of in the dental chair. She loves dental assisting and helping patients. She is the mother of 3 boys, and the grandmother of a baby boy. Yvonne is a movie and music guru, so ask her a trivia question next time you see her.

Silvia has been a hygienist for 13 years. She attended the University of Texas Health Science Center. Silvia has been with Dr. Casas for 12 years. In her spare time Silvia volunteers for San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic. Silvia is passionate about educating our patients on the benefits of good oral hygiene. She prides herself in the thoroughness of her work. Silvia was born and raised in Peru. She is happily married and is the mother of a son who is attending college. Silvia has some delicious Peruvian recipes up her sleeve. So next time you have your teeth cleaned by her see if she will share some.

Katreena has been a dental assistant for 10 years. She did her externship with Dr. Casas. Dr. Casas was impressed with her ability to learn quickly and hired her. Her certifications include Sealants, Coronal Polishing, Radiology and CPR. Katreena’s willingness to help patients with anything they might need will make you feel comfortable. Katreena is happily married and has a little girl. Katreena makes the best macaroni and cheese, so ask her for the recipe the next time you visit.

Meet Your Doctor
Dr. Gilda Casas is originally from Houston, Tx. She has a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas in Fine Arts. She attended The University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2001. While in school, Dr. Casas fell in love with San Antonio where she raised her daughter and decided to remain here. She opened her first office in November of 2002, located in the Windcrest area. She practiced there for 11 years before relocating to Live Oak in January of 2014.
Dr. Casas’ friendly smile, and welcoming personality will make any patient feel at ease. Her attention to detail, and her ability to explain procedures to each patient will give you the confidence in her ability.
Dr. Casas truly cares about each of her patients and their concerns for their oral health. She wants all of her patients to enjoy a beautiful, healthy smile.
Dr. Casas has one daughter who is currently obtaining her BSN from Houston Baptist University. Dr. Casas volunteers her time with the medical committee for the San Antonio Rodeo & Live Stock. Dr. Casas has four dogs, a miniature shi-tzu, a miniature schnauzer, a golden doodle and a standard poodle. She loves grilling and sitting in the backyard hanging out with her dogs.
